Welcome to the Grand Opening of our Go Green Community Fresh Market! Last week IMAN officially opened the Go Green Community Fresh Market, located in Chicago’s Englewood community at 1207 W. 63rd St.
The pandemic created a mental health crisis in the U.S. By fall 2020, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had released findings showing Americans were facing increased symptoms of anxiety and depression.
“Mental health is something we need to take more seriously in the United States, especially in Chicago...It’s a lot of people that just need help and somebody to talk to.”
Two weeks ago, several IMAN staff members and 25 other community and faith leaders, artists, and activists embarked on IMAN’s inaugural Black Jerusalem journey, an initiative led in partnership with Bayan Islamic Graduate School and co-convened by Dr. Rami Nashashibi and Reverend Dr. Otis Moss, III of Trinity United Church of Christ.
