Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- manage all existing and new social media accounts
- monitor postings and interactions on social media platforms
- monitor IMAN branding image on the web using RSS tools
- comment and contribute to the growth of our current social media tools used (Twitter, Facebook, blog, etc)
- research and implement new innovative social media tools to engage our user community both within our existing sites and on external social media platforms
- manages and contributes to organization's multi-authored blog, ensuring new and unique content every week
- measure and enhance the impact of our online social media strategy
- publish IMAN events through various online outlets
Desired Qualifications:
- practical knowledge of and experience with social media applications (Twitter, Digg, Facebook, etc)
- strong intellectual curiosity
- research experience, excellent computer skills, eye for detail, self-motivated
- ability to make connections in online settings
- a passion for and an understanding of how to leverage Web 2.0 tools for social change
